Theremin & Voice – Interactive
A performance to listen to and participate in
Theremin, voice and live looping meet storytelling, improvisation and audience participation in this unique and playful solo format.
Carolina takes the audience on a journey to understand how sound is created theremin and how the technique she’s using opens up a world of possibilities to play with. Through demonstration and improvisation together with the audience she explores how a single sound can expand into an entire musical number, how a voice can be replicated into a choir or how to play with loop and composition. Each concert consists of musical experiments, short stories, quizzes and mini workshops that are led by musical curiosity of the audience. Using theremin, voice, a loop station and a small collection of effects, Carolina builds each piece live on stage layer by layer and sound by sound.
Every performance grows into a unique experience, a co-created musical piece and a non-replicable representation of the interaction between performer and audience.

THEREMIN & VOICE — SURROUND SOUND
An experience that invites you to get lost in sound
In this expanded concert format using theremin and voice, Carolina plays with live loops, electronics and surround sound, transforming the concert space into a three-dimensional musical environment.
Layers of voice, theremin and electronic sounds are created and built into an immersive experience that moves all around and through the audience. The human voice and theremin become almost indistinguishable at times: the voice seems to lose its physical source, while the theremin takes on an almost human presence.
Moving between melodic composition, improvisation, minimalism and progressive electronic music, Carolina creates an otherworldly space that invites the audience to let go expectations of traditional concert setting and dive into the all-surrounding flow of this musical experience.
